Blue Sparrow focuses on education and technology training for youth in the Peruvian Andes, while supporting families at home through agriculture and microfinance. Volunteers help students grasp the basics of computers, produce multimedia work, and learn English. You don't need special training beforehand--we'll take care of that. Just come ready to work independently and be part of a small but dedicated group that's ready to do what it takes to help youth!

Details
People:
We need anyone with a decent level of Spanish who is willing to commit to living and working in rural and semi-urban parts of Peru. Be willing to work independently, take on challenges yourself, and inspire new directions for the project.
Commitment:
At least one month; three months is ideal.
Skills:
Decent Spanish is necessary. We'd love it if you have multimedia, photography, or art training. Teachers are especially welcome!
Type:
Teaching computer skills and English, supervising and giving feedback on multimedia projects, visiting families, overseeing loan progress, sometimes farming
Money:
Volunteers pay US$160/month, which includes all meals, housing, and support from Blue Sparrow. Cost of living varies, but expect your personal needs to be under $200, and potentially much less.
