In Guatemala, the school year runs from January through September with the months of October through December having no classes.

During November, students return to school to participate in extra-curricular workshops in a range of subjects that could include art, sports, yoga, drama, dance etc. If comfortable, volunteers can lead a workshop of their choice.

Morning classes take place as normal and volunteers are welcome to assist in these classes. Volunteers can also team up and carry out workshops together.

Summer School does require a lot of planning so if you would like to participate, please contact the volunteer coordinator who shall assist you in making a personalised schedule based on your interests.
